Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the consultation process, session format, plan preparation and payment.

Anyone can benefit. Whether you're managing weight, insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes, PCOS, thyroid issues, digestive complaints (reflux, IBS, coeliac), cholesterol, pregnancy and breastfeeding, child or adolescent nutrition, or sports performance, support is available. You don't need a diagnosis at all — many people come simply to improve their everyday eating, energy levels and overall wellbeing.

We take time to get to know you. We'll talk through your nutrition history, health background, daily routine, sleep and activity patterns, medications and supplements, and your goals. We'll also take measurements such as height, weight, waist circumference and body composition, and review any recent blood tests. The session is relaxed and collaborative, and usually lasts 45–60 minutes.

You can choose whichever suits you best. We can meet face-to-face at the practice in Nicosia, or work together online by video call from the comfort of your home. For online sessions, I'll guide you through taking your own measurements and sharing them with me.

Consultations are available in Turkish or English — whichever you prefer.

If you have them, recent blood tests from the last six months, a list of medications and supplements, any doctor's reports, and an example of a typical day of eating are all helpful. Don't worry if you don't have any paperwork — we can start by talking through your situation together.

Your plan is built specifically for you. I bring together your measurements, lab results, work schedule, budget, food preferences and cultural eating habits. Rather than handing over a generic printed diet sheet, I give you practical meal ideas, portion guidance and flexible alternatives that fit into your real life.

Most people find follow-ups every two to four weeks most helpful, but we set the pace together based on your goals and clinical needs. During follow-ups we review your measurements, symptoms and how the plan is fitting into your life, then make any adjustments needed.

It depends on your goals. Habits typically settle over a 3–6 month period of regular follow-up. A single session is also possible, though ongoing follow-up usually supports lasting change better.

I do not use crash diets; we work at a pace that suits your body. Scientific guidance generally describes sustainable weight loss as around 0.5–1 kg per week. Because every process differs, no individual outcome can be promised.

Prescribing medication is your doctor's role. I only suggest supplements when they're genuinely needed, based on your blood tests and the strength of the evidence. Whenever possible, we address deficiencies through food first.

No — they're simply a quick starting point. They can't account for your muscle mass, fat distribution or health history, so it's always best to review the results with a specialist dietitian.

Yes. Everything you share during consultations is kept completely confidential and is never passed to third parties. Feeling safe and comfortable is essential to our work together.

Session fees and payment options are shared with you before your appointment. For current details or to find a convenient time, just send a WhatsApp message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Insurance and reimbursement vary depending on your policy. If you need a session receipt or documentation, just let me know and I'll be happy to arrange it.

Just let me know at least 24 hours before your session and I'll do my best to find a new time that works for you.
