What nutrition counselling in Nicosia involves
Counselling is much more than a meal list: it is building habits that fit the life you actually live and that you can keep.
We start by getting to know you. Before what you eat, we look at how you live: when your day starts, where you eat, whether you work shifts, how tired your evenings are, how regular your sleep is, which foods you genuinely enjoy. Without this, a plan may look good on paper but will not survive real life.
We then review your nutrition history, health background, medication and supplements, any laboratory results and anthropometric measurements (height, weight, waist circumference, body composition). Where a clinical diagnosis is involved, the process runs alongside your doctor's follow-up.
Next we clarify your goals and move in small, workable steps. The aim is not a restrictive routine you can hold for a few weeks, but a sustainable way of eating that suits your kitchen, budget and cultural food habits. No standard, one-size-fits-all diet sheets are used.
In follow-up sessions we discuss what worked, what felt hard and what changed in your measurements and symptoms, then update the plan accordingly. Decisions are made together throughout.
What can you get support with?
One-to-one nutrition counselling is available in the areas below. Diagnosis and treatment belong to your doctor; nutrition counselling runs alongside that care.
Weight management
Whether you want to lose, gain or maintain weight, we work on measurable goals and a meal pattern you can sustain.
Healthy eating
You may want to improve your eating without any diagnosis. We build a practical routine around meal balance, portions and shopping habits.
Insulin resistance and metabolic health
Nutrition planning for insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, cholesterol and cardiometabolic risk, aligned with your medical follow-up.
PCOS and women's health
Meal patterns, timing and lifestyle habits for polycystic ovary syndrome and other stages specific to women's health.
Sports nutrition
Meal timing, fluid intake and recovery nutrition planned around your training load and goals.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Increased needs, meal patterns and practical solutions during pregnancy and breastfeeding, alongside medical follow-up.
Digestive and gut health
We review your eating pattern step by step for issues such as bloating, irregular digestion and food tolerance.
Child and adolescent nutrition
Age-appropriate meal patterns, picky eating and school-day practicalities, worked through with the family.
Nutrition across life stages
Needs change during studies, demanding work periods, menopause or later life; the plan is built for the stage you are in.
